There are a number of elephants in the forests of Indonesia who are experiencing some hard times due to the fact that there are many companies competing for the hardwood lumber available in those forests and the habitat for those elephants is swiftly retreating as a lot of lumber clearing is occurring in the area. There have even been some reports regarding the amount of elephants that have been responsible for injuries with humans because they're getting too close to encroaching human habitats that are invading their space that used to be completely rural but is now filled with settlements.
